Great satisfaction comes to an artist

When a creation speaks to each heart differently.

Everyone seems to relate differently to this one

And that is just fabulous!

Here are some notes on the creative process for “Dream Big”.

The sheet music I chose for the dress is “In The Garden”.

I adore this song! It is instruction on the greatest, most perfect

Relationship possible to mankind.

My heart smiled when I found this page in an old hymn book.

I thought of Mrs. Emma who would frequently request this song

During Sunday evening services.

Mrs. Emma went home to heaven last year

 and we were all so very blessed to have known her.

If you are not familiar with the lyrics they are easily found in your local church!

Most familiar are the words,

“He walks with me and He talks with me and He tells me I am His own”.

This song is about spending TIME with Him, Jesus!

And He WILL walk with you and talk with you,

About your life, your family, your job, your fears, your doubts

And…. your dreams.

He is after all, the one who put the dream there,

 so who better to talk it over with?

The butterfly represents beauty, new beginnings,

new life and a reminder that every day is a new day

to pursue the life He has for you!

I pray you will spend some time with Him today and allow Him to show you how to pursue the BIG BEAUTIFUL DREAM

God has planned for you.

" Me And My House "

"ME AND MY HOUSE"

This  mixed media collage  was created from scraps of assorted papers, various paints, a bit of ric rack, a sequin flower salvaged off an old shoe, and even a little leftover spray auto paint. Basically, a small pile of junk.

Nothing is wasted, it is given new life, just as we are when we choose to serve the Lord Jesus. We are given a whole new perfect purpose designed just for us.

Who will you serve?

As for me and my house, we will serve Jesus and be blessed and thankful!

Fisher Of Men

Fisher Of Men

Fisher Of Men was created from the contents of several old tackle boxes bought at auction for the old lures.

What remained was a smelly rusty mess with tons of potential to become an art project !

When the Lord placed "Fisher Of Men" into my mind, this creation flowed.

The background consists of old sewing patterns reminding us that Jesus is our pattern.

The bible scripture referencing the words Jesus spoke to the disciples is included under the "er" in fisher.
 "Follow me and I will make you fishers of men"

Worn out bibles are a common item to find in an old box at auction or stashed in an old piece of furniture.

They can be torn, water damaged, or have pages missing.

I can't let these precious words go to the dump!

Each of the wooden letters are covered in these special pages.

The netting reminds us that some of what we say slips through, so don't ever give up sharing the word of God!

The bells remind us to make a joyful noise unto the Lord.

The protractor symbolizes that as long as we stay close to the center where God is, he will always guide us.

The ears are made from soft drink can tabs.
Have you heard the GOOD NEWS?!

There are 3 nails serving as hair for the fisher of men. They represent the 3 nails that held Jesus to the cross for our sins.
